Why We Started Pocket Rockets East Anglia

We’re Tracey and Laura — two people from very different professional backgrounds who found ourselves drawn into work that is deeply human, emotionally complex and often invisible. After more than twenty years working together in corporate roles, we wanted work that meant something, even when it was difficult.

What we both shared was a simple belief: people don’t choose to live in crisis — and they deserve dignity, not judgement. That belief became the foundation of our company.

Many of the situations we attend — hoarding, ill health, drug use, unattended deaths — are symptoms of much bigger problems. Cleaning is only one part of the solution, but it is often the first step toward recovery, safety or support. We work quietly, respectfully, and alongside professionals wherever possible.

Growing across the region

From our roots in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk we now cover Essex and East London too, with a dedicated office in Chelmsford. We’ve built strong partnerships with housing associations, NHS teams, social-care professionals, charities and local authorities — and we’ve been proud to be recognised with regional and national awards along the way.
