Finalists for the 2026 UK Small Business Awards – A Milestone We’re Incredibly Proud Of
There are moments in business that make you stop, take a breath and reflect on just how far you’ve come. Becoming a Finalist for Cleaning Business Of The Year is one of those moments.
For us at Pocket Rockets East Anglia, being shortlisted as a Finalist in the Best Cleaning Business category at the 2026 UK Small Business Awards is one of those moments. Moreover, this recognition as a Cleaning Business Of The Year Finalist makes us incredibly proud and grateful.
When Laura and I started this business, it wasn’t about winning awards or collecting certificates. It was about creating a company that genuinely helps people when they need it most.
Our work often begins where others understandably stop. Still, being a Cleaning Business Of The Year Finalist motivates us to keep going even further.
We support families following trauma and help vulnerable individuals living in hoarded properties. In addition, we carry out welfare cleans for people returning home from hospital, remove biohazards, undertake needle sweeps, tackle mould problems and restore homes and commercial premises to safe, hygienic environments.
Many of our clients contact us during some of the most difficult times in their lives. It’s a privilege to be trusted to help them move forward.

More Than Just Cleaning
People often think cleaning is simply making somewhere look nice. However, our approach, as a Cleaning Business Of The Year Finalist, goes well beyond first impressions.
Our work goes far beyond that.
We help make homes safe again, families begin to heal, a mission that speaks to why being named a Cleaning Business Of The Year Finalist is so meaningful to us.
We support housing associations, councils, emergency services, healthcare providers and businesses across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and East London.
Every client deserves compassion, and earning recognition as a Finalist for Cleaning Business Of The Year reinforces our dedication to deliver exceptional service to all.
All properties and clients deserves the same high standards, whether it’s a single-room welfare clean or a complex biohazard decontamination.
Always Learning. Always Improving.
One thing we’ve always believed is that if we’re asking clients to trust us, we have a responsibility to keep improving ourselves. This is especially true now that we are Finalists for a Cleaning Business Of The Year award.
Our team regularly completes specialist training and refresher courses. This ensures we remain at the forefront of biohazard cleaning and infection control while striving to maintain our standing as Finalist for Cleaning Business Of The Year.

From trauma scene cleaning and bloodborne pathogen awareness to mental health, hoarding awareness, safeguarding and specialist decontamination techniques, continuous professional development is a huge part of who we are. That is also why we became a Cleaning Business Of The Year Finalist.
It’s one of the reasons we’re also proud members of the Buy With Confidence scheme, approved by Trading Standards, giving our clients additional reassurance that they’re working with a trusted and independently vetted business.

Behind the Masks
The photograph on this page probably sums us up perfectly.
Behind the PPE, respirators and protective suits are simply two people who care.
Yes, we work in some incredibly challenging environments.
Yes, there are days that are physically and emotionally demanding, but knowing we are a Cleaning Business Of The Year Finalist keeps us going.
But we also laugh, support one another, and remain passionate about helping people.
We believe professionalism and compassion go hand in hand.
