Location: East Anglia – Newmarket, Suffolk
Service: Severe biohazard cleaning for a wet hoarder
Provider: Pocket Rockets East AngliaThis Wet Hoarding & Biohazard Cleaning | Case Study | Suffolk highlights a challenging transformation handled by our experienced team.

The Challenge

This residential flat was affected by severe wet hoarding, with the kitchen and bathroom completely inaccessible due to a build-up of food waste, cans, bottles, and heavy contamination typical in Wet Hoarding & Biohazard Cleaning | Case Study | Suffolk scenarios.

All floor areas were heavily soiled with human faeces and general waste, while strong odours were detectable not only inside the property but also within the communal areas, causing distress to neighbouring residents. Fly infestation and signs of mould were present, alongside electrical failure linked to a previous fire at a wall socket.

The property posed immediate health, fire, and infection risks, requiring urgent specialist intervention to protect both the occupant and the wider building, just as highlighted in Wet Hoarding & Biohazard Cleaning | Case Study | Suffolk situations.

Before the Clean

Kitchen, Bathroom & Bedroom – Before
Essential facilities were unusable, floors were heavily contaminated, and access was severely restricted. Hygiene conditions had deteriorated to a level requiring full biohazard controls.

The Process

Our trained team carried out a structured, high-risk hoarding and biohazard clean, working with full PPE and specialist equipment throughout this Wet Hoarding & Biohazard Cleaning | Case Study | Suffolk project.

Non-salvageable items were removed, biohazard waste was safely contained for incineration, and affected areas were fully disinfected using hospital-grade products. Insect infestation was treated, odour control measures applied, and localised mould treatment carried out in the bedroom.

Where safe, furniture and personal items were cleaned and retained. Important correspondence and personal electronics were recovered, sanitised, and left safely within the property.

To support a safer return, we also provided essential household items, furnishings, and a fully made-up bed. Furthermore, the case demonstrates the necessity of Wet Hoarding & Biohazard Cleaning | Case Study | Suffolk expertise.

The Result

The transformation was substantial.

The flat was restored to a clean, safe, and habitable condition, with all rooms accessible and the kitchen and bathroom fully usable once again. Severe odours were significantly reduced, contamination removed, and the environment stabilised for ongoing support.
